L.A. Requiem was a favourite of mine, and I felt that Robert Crais had not written a book that could compare until now. The Two Minute Rule is the book!!!!!!!
It is not an Elvis Cole. Max Holman is released from prison and he wants to change his life. He wants to reconcile with his son who happens to be a cop.
Before he can reconcile, three police officers are gunned down and his son is one of them. It appears that the cops were dirty.
Max's mission in life is to get to the bottom of why his son died. The book is well written, plotted and the characters come alive in the many twists and turns of the story. This is one of the best books I have read this year by an American mystery writer.
