Used Book Purchase Update

Jack Bumsted is pleased to announce the publication of his new book, Lord Selkirk: A Life.

Over the Fall and Winter Whodunit? is planning a series of talks and seminars. They will be held on the first Monday of the month starting in November, at 7 p.m. The first three will be talks given by the ubiquitous Mr. Bumsted. Refreshments will be served.

Whodunit will not be buying used books between 10 December 2008 and 10 January 2009, so that we can deal with our Christmas business.

Mystery Reading Club meets at Whodunit? at 7:00 p.m. on the last Tuesday of each month.

Tuesday, October 28 is the second meeting, with Mary Jane Maffini’s Organize your Corpses. This is the first in her Charlotte Adam series.

New members of the Book Club are always welcome.

The Writers’ Club went on hiatus for July and August. The first meeting of the Fall season was Wednesday, September 17, 2008, with subsequent meetings on the third Wednesday of the month.

Simon and Schuster has just announced that they have acquired the Canadian rights to the eight titles written by Josephine Tey. They will be appearing shortly in trade paper editions and shortly after that in our store.
